• Drug Take Back Day: Where To Drop Off Prescription Medications In Imperial Beach (patch.com) — Imperial Beach residents can safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription medications during the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on April 25, with a convenient drop-off at the Imperial Beach Sheriff’s Substation. The free, anonymous event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and aims to prevent medication misuse, with year-round drop-off options also available at sheriff’s stations.
• Daytime super off-peak rates coming to SDG&E and community choice customers (sandiegouniontribune.com) — If you live in Imperial Beach and get power through SDG&E or a community choice program, you’ll soon pay the lowest rates from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays. Starting May 1, expanded “super off-peak” hours reward shifting appliance use and EV charging to midday, when cleaner solar energy is most available.
