β’ County Advances Plan for Tijuana River Treatment Facility β North County Daily Star (northcountydailystar.com) β Imperial Beach residents may see long-awaited progress on the Tijuana River pollution crisis, as San Diego County approved $1.8 million for the first phase of planning a major treatment or diversion project. Over the next 18 months, consultants will study sites, permits, costs, and funding options, including a possible sales tax increase, for a facility that could cost up to $1 billion.
