Bicyclist Killed In South Bay Crash ID'd
Kathleen Ann Cua, 60, died a day after she was struck by a vehicle in Imperial Beach.

IMPERIAL BEACH, CA – Authorities Wednesday released the name of a 60-year-old bicyclist who died a day after she was struck by a vehicle in Imperial Beach.
Kathleen Ann Cua was riding in a group with two other cyclists on Saturday evening when a vehicle turned in front of her path and hit her at Palm Avenue and Fourth Street, San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Karl Miller said. Cua, who was wearing a helmet, was rushed to UCSD Medical Center in Hillcrest.
"Despite medical treatment, her condition did not improve and she was pronounced brain dead on (Sunday)," according to a San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office report.

The involved driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with investigators, who do not believe drugs or alcohol to be factors in the fatal collision, the sheriff's department reported.
