Blank Fire Weapons Training This Week At Silver Strand Training Complex Near Imperial Beach

IMPERIAL BEACH, CA – It might get noisy in Imperial Beach this week due to military training, the U.S. Navy announced Monday.

Naval Base Coronado is conducting blank fire weapons training from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the Silver Strand Training Complex located between Imperial Beach and Silver Strand State Beach.

"The Navy recognizes the importance of being good neighbors with the local communities and makes every effort to abate noise when possible," the announcement said.

Noise complaints can be made online at the base's website.
