CHULA VISTA, CA — A brush fire that broke out Wednesday night briefly threatened a mobile home park in Chula Vista.
The blaze broke out before 10:20 p.m. and burned toward the La Palma Mobile Estates on Palm Avenue, Fox 5 reported. NBC 7 reported that the Chula Vista Fire Department issued evacuation orders in the area.
Water-dropping helicopters assisted firefighters on the ground. By early Thursday morning, crews halted the spread of the fire, which burned about 2 acres.

The blaze broke out not long after crews stopped a brush fire that sparked off northbound Interstate 805 in Chula Vista.
The fire also sparked amid a red flag warning that wasn't set to expire until 6 p.m. Thursday. It was unclear what started the fire.
