Free Sandbags Available For Imperial Beach Residents
Empty bags and sand will be available for residents on a first come, first serve basis at the Imperial Beach Fire Department

IMPERIAL BEACH, CA – Weather officials are predicting Imperial Beach and the surrounding region could see more rain through Tuesday.
To help residents and businesses prepare for the continued rainfall and prevent flood-related damage, the city of Imperial Beach is offering a place where people can pick up free sand and bags.
Empty bags and sand will be available for residents on a first come, first serve basis at the Imperial Beach Fire Department, located at 865 Imperial Beach Boulevard. The bags and sand are available behind the fire station.

Residents are asked to bring their own shovels. There is a limit of 10 sandbags per household with proof of city residency.
San Diego residents can obtain sandbags from San Ysidro Fire Station 29.
