On his personal Facebook page, Imperial Beach Patch Editor Khari Johnson announced "I am no longer editor of Imperial Beach Patch or La Mesa-Mount Helix Patch. I know so many good people in Imperial Beach and La Mesa who care about their communities and love their neighbors. Thank you for the help and support over the years. I am proud to have worked with people who worked so hard over the last 3+ years to report the news, tell stories and wear a lot of different hats."

Johnson, known on Facebook as Restless Reporter, proves again that he is just that. As IB's first ever full-time investigative news reporter Khari dedicated far more than "full-time" to the job.
With the lack of transparency in our local government - as it is - Khari will not only be sorely missed by Patch, but also anyone who really cares about IB, with the exception of a one or two of our 'trusted' elected officials - who will be very glad to stop answering so many questions by a real reporter...
