Man Convicted Of Sex Crime Arrested At Border
Two men, including a convicted felon, crossed illegally into the United States from Mexico, according to the U.S. Border Patrol. (BREAKING)

IMPERIAL BEACH, CA – A man convicted of a sex crime with a minor was arrested Monday near Imperial Beach. He and another man crossed illegally into the United States from Mexico, according to the U.S. Border Patrol.
Imperial Beach Border Patrol agents spotted the pair around 9 a.m. about 600 feet north of the U.S.-Mexico border.
"With no documentation allowing them to be in the U.S., both men were transported to a nearby station," said Mary Beth Caston of the Border Patrol.

A records check revealed that one of the men, a 34-year-old Mexican citizen, had previously been convicted of engaging in a sex act with a child under the age of 14.
The convicted felon faces charges of illegal reentry into the country after deportation, officials said. He is being held in federal custody pending prosecution. The second man, also a Mexican citizen, is expected to be returned to Mexico.
