Man Stabbed Multiple Times In El Cajon
Brief call of an acquaintance "bleeding out" led police to the crime scene. Now a manhunt is on for the attempted-homicide suspect.

EL CAJON, CA – Police responding early today to an anonymous call of a person "bleeding out" found a man suffering multiple stab wounds on North Mollison Avenue in El Cajon, and the search is on for the assailant, law enforcement said.
After receiving a 1:57 a.m. call from an individual who said their acquaintance was “bleeding out” and then hung up, dispatchers were able to trace the call to the 800 block of North Mollison, the El Cajon Police Department said.
The victim, who was suffering from life-threatening injuries and was not identified by the department, was transported to an area hospital by Heartland Fire & Rescue.

No suspects are in custody, and anyone with information on this incident is asked to call El Cajon police at 619-579-3300, or anonymously at Crime Stoppers, 1-888-580-8477 or sdcrimestoppers.org.
Citizens were asked to avoid the area as the crime scene was processed.

El Cajon police officials tweeted a little before 5 a.m. that North Mollison Avenue would be closed between Broadway and Sandalwood Drive -- just north of Interstate 8 -- for an undetermined amount of time this morning.
