Masked Man Holds Up 7-Eleven In Egger Highlands

BREAKING: The clerk complied with the robber's demands and was not injured, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A masked man held up a 7-Eleven store at gunpoint early today in the Egger Highlands neighborhood.

The suspect walked into the convenience store at the corner of Palm Avenue and Saturn Boulevard and made a demand around 12:45 a.m., according to San Diego police. He fled with an undetermined amount of cash and various merchandise.

"The victim did as the suspect asked and was not injured," police said.

Police described the robber as about 5 feet 7 and wearing dark clothing.

Meanwhile this morning in Spring Valley, an employee at a 7-Eleven store was injured during an armed robbery. The hold-up at the convenience store at the corner of Jamacha Boulevard and Grand Avenue was reported around 3 a.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

The suspect fired off a couple gunshots and pistol-whipped a clerk before fleeing with an unknown amount of cash and various items from the store, according to NBC7.
