Power Outage Affecting Hundreds In Imperial Beach
BREAKING: San Diego Gas & Electric is reporting on its outage map that 4,894 customers in and around Imperial Beach are without power.

IMPERIAL BEACH, CA β About 35,000 homes and business across San Diego County are without power Friday due to storm-related utility equipment problems, according to San Diego Gas & Electric.
Among the outages, SDG&E is reporting on its outage map that 4,894 customers in and around Imperial Beach are without power due to two widespread outages.
The first outage started at 2:52 p.m., affecting 467 customers in Imperial Beach. A second outage started at 2:53 p.m., affecting 4,427 customers in Nester, San Ysidro, Otay Mesa, Imperial Beach, North Island and Tijuana River Park. SDG&E does not yet have an estimate of when the power will be restored for either outage.

The weather reportedly caused a problem in the electric system for both outages. No other information is currently available.
