Princess Samantha Kennedy Duchess of Oltu Wants You To Watch "Tora! Tora! Tora!"

The motion picture "Tora! Tora! Tora!" Is a 1970 film starring Martin Balsam, So Yamamur, Joseph Cotten, Jason Robards Jr.,  E.G. Marshall, James Whitmore,  Eijiro Tono,  Takahiro Tamura, Wesley Addy, Leon Ames, Richard Anderson, Frank Aletter, Korenari Senda and Shogo Shimada.  It is an American-Japanese war film showing the opinions of both sides.  This film dramatized the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.  It was directed by Kinji Fukasaku, Toshio Masuda and Richard Fleischer.  To me this is a heart wrenching movie showing the attack on our Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941.  It is the most dazzling recreation of America's darkest day and some of her finest hours, but, key American personnel ignored warnings of the possibility of Japanese aggression.  The Japanese had their sneak attack killing our Americans and the ships destroyed or sunk were The USS California, USS Maryland, USS Oklahoma, USS Tennessee, USS West Virginia, USS Arizona, USS Nevada and The USS Pennsylvania.  I remember growing up in my adopted parents' home in Tennessee and hearing about Pearl Harbor, it was very sad.  My father's troops during World War II guarded President Roosevelt while the President visited Panama.  My mother worked at the atomic plant at Oak Ridge, Tennessee and helped to create the first atomic bomb that was dropped on Japan to end that terrible war.  Mother met Albert Einstein and she and dad were very good parents.  I miss them dearly, I grew up with World War II parents even though they were many years older than me.  One of the sadest things is that many people died during that horrible war and sadly in California many good Japanese American families had to go to camps.  Some of my best friends are from Japan.  "Tora! Tora! Tora!" is well worth your time to watch.  War is sad, very sad and today and every year let us never forget, let us remember all our soldiers throughout American history who fought for our country and our freedom.
