Russell Hart Photography

Hart's work can be found at farmers markets in Imperial Beach and Ocean Beach.

Russell Hart got into photography in January 2006 when his friend Julie spontaneously decided to buy him his first camera.

"She gave me her American Express card one day and said, 'Go get your camera. Just pay me back,' " Hart said. "I am forever indebted to Julie."

Most of Hart's pictures were taken around San Diego Bay but especially in Imperial Beach or Ocean Beach. He can be found at farmers markets in both cities every week selling framed photos, postcards, magnets, coasters and photos on a collection of tiles. Prices range from $8 to $145.

Some of his scenic photography is taken using the high dynamic range or HDR photo technique to create a surreal environment that can often look more like a painting than a picture.
