Detectives with the Sheriff's Sexual Assault Unit conducted an extensive investigation and identified the suspect in the case as Maynor Ricardo Funes (DOB 4/14/1989).Â
The San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Funes on Wednesday, September 29Â after he left a residence in the 1400 block of Hermes Avenue in Encinitas. He was booked into the Vista Detention Facility facing burglary and sexual assault charges.
