TED 2
Coming from Universal Pictures and director/writer Seth MacFarlane comes the story of true friendship with TED 2.
with Jenise Jacquin
Ted (Seth MacFarlane) and Tami-Lynn (Jessica Barth) have gotten married and started their life together. But, as with all newly married couples there are some problems and the couple decide to try and have a baby to see if it helps.
Knowing that it isn’t really possible, Ted asks his best friend John (Mark Wahlberg) to help him get the necessary ‘ingredient’ to make it happen. They search out their buddy Flash Gordon all the way up the gene pool to Tom Brady.

When those plans don’t come to fruition, Ted and Tami-Lynn decide to adopt. It doesn’t take long before the letter arrives letting the couple know that – well – Ted isn’t a person and the possibility for adoption is denied.
John and Ted find lawyer Samantha (Amanda Seyfried) to help them prove that this loveable bear is just as much a person as anyone else. That isn’t Ted’s only problem as an arch nemesis has once again reared his ugly – rear!

It’s all a matter of believing through and through.
Wahlberg as John is still hilarious. There are many provocative scenes in the film and he has no problem tearing them up. Then again there has to be something about working with a teddy bear with the voice of Seth MacFarlane that brings out the best in any actor. Oh come on, you know it had to be fun!
MacFarlane as the voice of Ted is, well – Ted! What else could even be necessary to say? He is a little more sensitive in this film but still a buddy we all want and would do anything for. Then again MacFarlane could read the phone book and we’d probably find a reason to crack up.
Seyfried as Samantha is a pot head lawyer that we didn’t buy into really. There are funny moments with her in the film but not made funny by her. The relationship between Wahlberg and Seyfried just didn’t play but what the heck, does it really matter in the grand scheme of things?
Other cast include the return of Giovanni Ribisi as Donny, Sam J. Jones as Sam Jones, Patrick Warburton as Guy, Michael Dorn as Rick, Bill Smitrovich as Frank, John Slattery as Shep Wild, John Carroll Lynch as Tom Jessup and Ron Canada as Judge.
TUBS OF POPCORN: We give TED 2 four tubs of popcorn out of five. Why? Because we can that’s why! Our humor is twisted enough to stand by our teddy friend in all things. Actually, TED 2 is a bit better than the original which is unusual but okay by us.
The film kept true to the original relationship between John and Ted which we love. The comedy is still there, the nonsense is absolutely still there and mostly all of the characters came back for one more love fest from fans.
TED 2 is filled with cameo’s that are outstanding with the comedy charge being led by Morgan Freeman and Liam Neeson. Seriously, everyone wants a piece of Ted.
Gather up some friends who are equally as twisted and looking for an opportunity to laugh like crazy and please, leave the kiddies at home. This is not a Disney flick!
In the end – they are still thunder buddies for life!
