On DVD from SISU Home Entertainment and Igal Hecht comes a documentary that informs us all about those who live on THE HILLTOPS.
This documentary tells the story of those who are attempting to build homes on the hilltops of the West Bank. As the Israeli/Palestinian conflict continues, cameras are rolling on Jewish settlements that are considered illegal.

FINAL WORD: Hecht takes his camera right where the issue arises from and captures the feelings of those living on the settlements. Hearing what they had to say was so well done because none of it was based on anger and violence, but instead wanting to do what was right by their people and families.
Watching these settlements go up, one has to ask how the police/military felt it necessary to tear them down? I know there is much more to this story, as with anything in life, but this is about human beings respecting one another and having a home of their own.

The history here is deep and filled with tense emotions. As each of the individuals tell what they know and what they believe, it does open dialogue that should absolutely continue. Perhaps if the politicians and military stay out of it, more and more of the people themselves can find a happy medium for all.
TUBS OF POPCORN: I give THE HILLTOPS three tubs of popcorn out of five. This is an interesting way to learn about the history that isn’t in the textbooks. It also brings in a personal perspective, watching the conflict when building and seeing men from both sides talk together which is amazing.
The DVD includes an interactive menu in widescreen and comes in at 45 minutes with Hebrew and English subtitles. To discover more of what SISU Home Entertainment has to offer please go to www.sisuent.com.
