IMPERIAL BEACH, CA — Soapy Joe's, the unconventional, San Diego County-based, car-wash chain that brought you Car-Wash Karaoke and holds the Guinness record for the World's Largest Air Freshener, has turned its attention to romance.
A free, Valentine’s Day "Tunnel of Love" group wedding, complete with officiant, music, a mini photo shoot and free car washes for life, is set Friday at the Imperial Beach location, 1350 Palm Ave, and one lucky set of newlyweds will receive a free honeymoon cruise to Mexico.
Seven San Diego couples, including an artist and war veteran, two high school sweethearts and a pair whose story includes overcoming a major medical setback, are confirmed for the 8:30 a.m. ceremony, along with a duo renewing their vows, according to company.

Love birds interested in joining the nuptials must apply by 12 p.m. Feb. 13. Application information and details can be found here. The five-day Mexican cruise will be awarded based on public votes via Soapy Joe's social media.
Couples must be California residents, have a marriage license and provide their own witnesses or agree to those from Soapy Joe's. And for any participants short a ring bearer, the Soapy Joe's mascot can step in.

The wedding procession and ceremony will be under Soapy Joe's "arches." Yes, it's the spot where cars are vacuumed on typical business days, but the area is getting a matrimonial makeover with lights and flowers.
After vows are exchanged, Soapy Joe's brides and grooms can take a spin through the car wash — a clean and shiny start to wedded bliss.
