WHEN CALLS THE HEART: Heart of the Family Arrives on DVD!

From SHOUT Factory is the continuation of the story about the people of Hope Valley with WHEN CALLS THE HEART: Heart of the Family.

Happily Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) has returned to Hope Valley and to the children she teaches. Someone else that is thrilled is Mountie Jack (Daniel Lissing) because he has a surprise in store! The town has come together to once again take care their families and faith.

Lee Coulter (Kavan Smith) is still working on helping the town with a new mill and still has the heart of Rosemary LeVeaux (Pascale Hutton). She, however, is trying to charm Lee into building her something that would make her happier than she’s been.

Bill Avery (Jack Wagner) has also come back to town but for an entirely different reason and Jack is very curious. Of course Bill has every intention of trying to explain to Abigail (Lori Loughlin) of her visit with his estranged wife Nora (Kristina Wagner) but it is not well received.

Abigail has taken in Clara (Eva Bourne) who is adjusting to a new life in Hope Valley. Meeting a young at the local store, Clara is unsure of how it will be perceived if she opens her heart once again. She also discovers that a hidden talent may be the beginning of bigger things.

Charles Kensington is a surprise arrival as Elizabeth learns he comes to do business on her father’s behalf. He also speaks with Jack, in fishing metaphors, about the shared interest they have in the towns’ school teacher!

Hope Valley continues to grow and so does the story!

Krakow as Elizabeth continues to make this character all her own. Coming back to Hope Valley she has the opportunity to grow away from the life known in Hamilton. Even when Charles shows up, Elizabeth continues to believe she has made the right choice for herself. I like that about this character very much. Krakow also gives audiences a loving character and humor to go along.

Lissing as Jack is clearly a man who takes his job seriously protecting not only those he cares about but all the residents of Hope Valley. Of course he has a soft spot for Elizabeth but he believes in her right to choose her own path, for that Lissing has won fans!

Loughlin as Abigail once again is taking care of everyone. From running her successful town café to taking in Clara, she does what is right as a good person and the town’s people love her for it. Bourne as Clara is trying to find her place and with a little help from her mother-in-law, that might just happen in unexpected ways.

Hutton as Rosemary always makes me laugh! From her advice column to keeping Coulter amused, Hutton is charming and, dare I say, even endearing in her role. Smith as Coulter is a man who continues to face obstacles from the town’s mayor who wants to control everything. The good news is that the mill provides jobs once again since the mining accident.

WHEN THE HEART CALLS is brought by executive producer Michael Landon, Jr., and is currently airing Season 2 on The Hallmark Channel.

There is not one single thing that this show doesn’t have that families can not enjoy.
