X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut Powers onto Bluray!

From director Bryan Singer and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment comes X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST ROGUE CUT.

If you are missing Comic Con just a tad then forlorn no longer because this week on Bluray is X-MEN: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut.

It is the future and creations called the Sentinels are hunting down mutants and any human that helps them. Deep underground, mutants are trying to find a way to stay alive using their powers.

Charles (Patrick Stewart), Eric (Ian McKellen), Storm (Halley Berry) and Logan/Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) arrive with a plan to stop the Sentinels from ever being created – by going back in time.

Logan, with the help of Pryde, must return to the 70’s to find Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) who wants to kill Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage), the creator of the Sentinels based on her DNA. First, Logan must convince Charles (James McAvoy) of what is happening. Finding him with Hank/Beast (Nicholas Hoult) it is difficult. Making it worse, Logan must convince Charles that Eric (Michael Fassbender) must help them.

The worlds between the past and future are about to collide but will it be for good or evil?

The film is so amazing bringing Stewart and McAvoy face to face along with McKellen and Fassbender in their respective roles as Professor Xavier and Magneto. It is stellar that these actors mesh to the point where there versions of each other are totally believable. There is nothing about these four actors in this movie that isn’t worthy of all the fans who cheer for them in this series of films.

McAvoy and Fassbender are just thrilled to watch when they are on screen together. There is an intensity between these two actors that lends itself to the characters they play.

Jackman as Wolverine just continues to be amazing. This character is like no other in that he don’t take a lot of crap, calls it as he sees it and doesn’t mind stepping on a few toes. Jackman has made this character iconic and if you’ve ever been to Comic Con when he comes on stage you would know exactly what I’m talking about. People just lose their minds and he has fun with it all.

Lawrence as Raven/Mystique has also made this character her own. This film brings her back to both Charles and Eric but finally comes face to face with what she must do. I don’t think there is a performance Lawrence has given that I didn’t like although my personal favorite is the film Winter’s Bone and if you haven’t seen it – do it!

Dinklage gets a chance to play a bad character yet the bad is more his obsessive about mutants rather than psycho crazy. That being said Dinklage is a personal favorite so he can’t do any wrong for me.

Along with Evan Peters, Booboo Stewart, Bingbing Fan, Daniel Cudmore, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Omary Sy, Famke Janssen, James Marsden, and Kelsey Grammer – X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST ROGUE CUT is a film that is perfection.

This is such an amazing Bluray! Let me tell you more about it. There is a never-before-seen alternate cut of the film plus nearly 90 minutes of immersive special features. Rogue returns as the original X-Men meet up with their younger selves.

That’s not enough?

Well, the Rogue Cut has audio commentary with Bryan Singer and John Ottoman, the Bluray contains the theatrical version of the film with commentary by Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg, Mutant vs. Machine, X-Men: Unguarded, a Gallery, a Second Screen App and a FANTASTIC FOUR Sneak Peek.

TUBS OF POPCORN: I give X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST ROGUE CUT four tubs of popcorn out of five. This film has everything…literally…action, storyline, character driven, cgi that is pretty cool and on Bluray it’s even cooler! What I enjoy most about the film is that no one character pulls focus which is well done on the part of director Singer.

I won’t be giving anything away because this is such an amazing Bluray but trust me when I say you will be thrilled everything this Bluray has to offer.
