The City of La Quinta is honored to celebrate 44 years as a beloved home for residents and a premier destination for visitors at its annual Birthday Celebration.The lively, family-friendly celebration will have engaging activities for all age groups, including an obstacle inflatable course, toddler-friendly carnival playhouse, basketball shoot out and bounce houses.
The public is welcome and invited to stop by for free refreshments including hot dogs, churros, snow cones and more. Live entertainment will be provided by local school performers, dance groups and singers. Local community groups will also be in attendance to provide information about upcoming events and programs and fun giveaways.
New this year, the City of La Quinta is proud to announce that the La Quinta Youth Collective, a city-led leadership initiative that educates and empowers the next generation of civic leaders, is hosting a dog adoption event in partnership with Riverside Community Animal Services. The adoption event is part of their community project and will focus on helping larger dogs, who typically have longer shelter stays and lower adoption rates, find their forever homes. If you are interested in dog adoption, please bring valid photo identification (driver's license or state/country ID).
