LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE — Residents can place bulky waste at the curb for free collection on their regularly scheduled pickup day later this month, the city announced
During the week of Nov. 16, accepted items include chairs, sofas, mattresses, carpets and rugs tied in rolls, appliances, electronic equipment, clothing and tires. Loose items should be boxed, bundled or bagged so crews can handle them easily.
Rather than discarding, residents also were encouraged to donate usable items to local thrift stores or charities.
Hazardous and toxic materials will not be collected, officials. Household hazardous waste can be taken to the Glendale Fire Department's Household Hazardous Waste Center.
