Cabin Fire - 2,500 acres as of 8 AM Saturday Morning

Leaving the highway clear for first responders is best practice in mountain wildfires

The cabin Fire above Azusa has reached 2,500 acres, consumed three homes and one outbuilding.

Little Jimmy Trail Camp, West Fork Area, East Fork Area, Coldbrook and Crystal Lake Campgrounds have been Evacuated. 5 Firefighters have been evacuated with minor injuries.

Highway 39 is closed (portions have been closed for several years due to landslides - the entire rural expanse of Highway 39 is now closed).

The best thing citizens can do to assist in containment efforts is to stay off of access routes, such as Highway 2, which provides first responders a northerly access point to the fire.
