Co-creating an Abundant Continent - Native American Land Management

Join s at Chilao School on Saturday, June 14 for a free educational presentation.

Native American Land Management - The co-creation of a bountiful continent
Presented by Kat High, life long Native American educator and activist and founder of Haramokngna American Indian Cultural Center

As we strive to understand our American wilderness and struggle with its management, we are becoming ever more aware that this is a landscape shaped by and with its human inhabitants.  For untold thousands of years native people have practiced a variety of land management methods that kept catastrophic fires in check, produced a healthy mosaic of habitats and promoted the well being of plant and animal species.

Join us for a presentation that explores the ways indigenous people modified the American landscape, how our ecosystems became adapted to these practices, what's happened since they were stopped and how we can re-establish a more natural and beneficial land management system today. Everyone is welcome.
