"Don't Cross The Line" shirt shares a life saving message

Local community promotes one of the most important rules of the road on a limited edition tee

A limited edition run of 120 long sleeved tees, produced and sold by the non profit association Redbird, will promote a potentially life saving message. What's unique is the origin of the message. It's coming from inside the auto and motorcycle community itself, from those most intimately familiar with Angeles Crest Highway and the challenges of this technical, scenic two lane road.

Drivers and riders who cross the double yellow line are one of the greatest dangers in the forest...to themselves, and often as not to innocent riders and drivers traveling in the opposite direction.

For some, it's just careless, inconsiderate driving...something they might never do on city streets. Why a two lane mountain road with blind corners would inspire drivers to think it's okay to use the opposing lane is a bit of an eternal mystery. Nothing could be farther from the truth. But it happens all the time. Tourists stop to take pictures in the middle of the road. Slow vehicles refuse to use turnouts, forcing vehicles behind them to make potentially unsafe passes. The list of inconsiderate and dangerous driving behaviors go on and on. Far too many to address on a tee shirt. So Redbird chose to focus on just one. Don't Cross The Line.

Designed by Sonny Putro, the back of the short includes Redbird's partners in creating a consciousness of intelligent riding and driving. It's the kind of message you might expect a state or federal agency to promote, but those agencies are absent. This message comes from fellow motorcyclists, fellow car enthusiasts, local non profits and businesses.

Shirts can be purchased from Redbird via their PayPal.me link (below) at $25.00 each. Dark blue and long sleeved, printed on high quality Next Level tees, about 20 tee shirts are still available.
