Free event offered by the US Forest Service at Chilao Visitors Center in Chilao Campground. Everyone welcome. Family appropriate.
On Sunday, April 27th, from approximately 10-11 a.m., our resident U.S. Forest Service geology expert will be at the visitor center to talk about the geologically unique San Gabriel Mountains and what makes them so special. So, if you will be visiting the Angeles or camping in any of the local campgrounds (Chilao, Horse Flats, Buckhorn), make sure to pencil the geology talk into your weekend calendar. We look forward to seeing you there!
