Given the significant increase of COVID-19 hospitalizations and positive testing rates, on Sunday, June 28, 2020, the Governor of the State of California issued a directive requiring the immediate, temporary closure of bars in various counties across California, including Los Angeles County. In conjunction with Governor Newsom’s order, the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health (DPH) issued a revision to the “Safer at Work and in the Community” Health Order, effective immediately.
