La Cañada Flintridge Notice Of Unscheduled Vacancy In Youth Council

Additional meetings may be held as required.

The Youth Council consists of nine members. All members shall be between 14-19 years of age during their service on the board. Five “at-large” members are appointed by City Council to serve two-year terms. Four “school representative” members are appointed by the four high schools in the City, with one member from each school. The schools are Flintridge Preparatory School, La Cañada High School, Sacred Heart Academy, and St. Francis High School. These members serve one-year terms.

The Youth Council meets regularly at 3:30 p.m. on the first Friday of each month in the City Council Chambers. Additional meetings may be held as required.

APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE:
The four “school representatives” are appointed by each of the four local high schools, (which may not be residents of the City), to serve one-year terms. For more information, please contact La Cañada High School at (818) 952-4270.
