Los Altos Raises Funds for Sycamores El Nido Campus

Help provide direct support for local foster youth

The Los Altos' mission is to enhance and enrich the lives of the youth, adults and families at the El Nido campus community and Sycamores. They invite the public as they celebrate 65 years of providing comfort and care to children in the foster care system. With individual's generous support, they can continue providing support to the youth at Sycamores’ residential campus, “El Nido” and the young adults transitioning out of foster care. Located in Altadena, the El Nido campus, offers an idyllic and welcoming environment for youth who come seeking intervention and care. The staff and administration provide care and supervision to dependent and/or neglected males, ages 11-18, many of whom are a part of the foster care or probation systems. Los Altos is proud to have provided financial and loving support to the youth at El Nido since 1993. Los Altos has traditionally relied on donations from their annual wine-tasting fundraiser to fulfill our mission and look forward to reinstating this fun event in April of 2023. In the meantime, they would appreciate donations to maintain their level of support prior to the pandemic. Healthy, supportive relationships and acts of kindness are healing forces for all. When youth are nurtured and befriended, El Nido youth can recover and see a bright future for themselves. Los Altos Auxiliary members are committed to planning a variety of healthy, fun, and homemade experiences for the youth at El Nido.
