"The Yamaha was traveling in excess of the maximum speed limit of 55 mph on a two-lane, undivided mountainous highway," Vandecar said. "The driver of the Yamaha failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway and traveled onto the east dirt shoulder. The motorcycle and rider collided into a guardrail."
