RSVP to Rain Barrel & Drought Tolerant Landscape Event at Descanso Gardens

Foothill Municipal Water District (FMWD or District) is pleased to announce a special Rain Barrel & Drought Tolerant Landscape Event at Descanso Gardens scheduled for Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 10: a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is co-hosted by the City of South Pasadena, Pasadena Water & Power, Crescenta Valley Water District, Glendale Water & Power and Burbank Water & Power.

Event programming will include two classes to be held in the Van de Kamp Hall that will cover the fundamentals of rainwater harvesting and drought tolerant landscapes.

Residents must RSVP for the event to receive free admission to Descanso Gardens. Seating for the classes is limited and will be on a first-come first-serve basis. Contact your local water agency to reserve today.

RAIN BARREL PURCHASE & REBATE INFORMATION:

Cost: $85

How: Rain barrels must be purchased in advance by September 10th from www.RainBarrelsIntl.com, under the EVENTS tab select “Descanso Gardens.” Pre-ordered rains barrels will be available for pick-up at the event.

Rebate: $75

How: Rebate offered by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California through www.socalwatersmart.com. Residents must fill out online application. Limit one total rebate per household with a four barrel maximum.
