Teen Struck By Motorcyle, Receives Major Injures
The rider also received injuries and both were transported to an area hospital.

LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE (CNS) - A 14-year-old boy struck by a motorcycle in La Canada Flintridge was hospitalized today.
The teenager was with three friends when he ran into the intersection of Chevy Chase Drive and Foothill Boulevard and was struck shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, sheriff's Lt. Brian Fitch of the Crescenta Valley Station said.
The boy was carried about 50 feet on the motorcycle before hitting the pavement, Fitch said.

He suffered a broken femur, a collapsed lung, facial abrasions and an injured hand, Fitch said, adding that he did not believe the boy's injuries were life threatening.
The motorcycle continued another 50 feet or so, then hit the center divider, he said. The rider suffered facial injuries, he said. Both were taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital, Fitch said.
