Uncle Wanted in the Killings of Teenage Nephews
In addition to nepoticide, Deyun Shi, 44, is also wanted in La Cañada Flintridge for domestic violence against his wife.

Two teenage brothers were found dead in their Arcadia home and the boys’ 44-year-old uncle, who was believed to have flown to China, was being sought Saturday as a suspect.
Officers responded earlier Friday to a call of unknown trouble at an apartment in the 400 block of Fairview Avenue, according to Arcadia police.
Deyun Shi was already being sought for an assault on his wife Thursday night in La Cañada Flintridge, Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau Lt. Eddie Hernandez told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, which reported that Shi became enraged upon finding out that his wife had begun divorce proceedings and obtained a restraining order against him.

Shi was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 155 pounds, according to the sheriff’s department.
The brothers, 15 and 16, appeared to have suffered blunt force trauma, Hernandez said.

Shi was believed to have boarded a flight to Beijing that was expected to land about 11 p.m. -- Los Angeles time -- and the FBI was assisting in attempts to apprehend him, authorities said.
The boys’ parents left their apartment to visit Shi’s wife in a hospital Thursday night and didn’t find their sons’ bodies until about 12:40 p.m. Friday, it was reported.
Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives were handling the investigation, according to a Arcadia police watch commander.
