1 Dead After Bicyclist, Dog Struck By Car In Laguna Beach
The crash was reported on Saturday at 6:53 p.m. in the area of Oak Street and Glenneyre Street, authorities said.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A man was killed Saturday after the bike he was riding collided with a vehicle in Laguna Beach, the Laguna Beach Police Department reported.
Authorities responded to the area of Oak Street and Glenneyre Street for an injury traffic crash at 6:53 p.m. on Saturday.
According to Laguna Beach Police Capt. Mike Peters, the crash involved a vehicle and an adult bicyclist who was carrying a small dog in the bicycle's front basket.

The bicyclist suffered critical injuries and was moved to a local trauma centers, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not immediately released.
The dog, a small terrier, was moved to a local animal hospital with minor injuries and was expected to survive.

Peters said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. After an initial investigation, drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the crash.
"We send our deepest prayers and condolences to the deceased male's family and hope they find strength through this unfortunate event," Laguna Beach Police Captain Mike Peters said.
