2018 Emergency Management Chairman: Jordan Villwock

Laguna Beach's emergency operations coordinator Jordan Villwock will chair the Orange County Emergency Management Organization in 2018.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Laguna Beach Police Emergency Management Coordinator Jordan Villwock will act as chair of the Orange County Emergency Management Organization, according to the Orange County Register.

The OCEM includes over 120 county, city, school and special district agencies whose mission is to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters.

According to the City of Laguna Beach, Jordan Villwock began his work as a police explorer at the Laguna Beach Police Department in 2000 and then was hired full-time as a Public Safety Dispatcher in 2004.

"During his tenure as a dispatcher Jordan was responsible for the training program and was later promoted to Senior Public Safety Dispatcher," the city said. "Jordan obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Concordia University, Irvine in 2007 and his Master's Degree in Emergency Service Administration from California State University, Long Beach in 2012. "

Villwock is available for Emergency Preparedness presentations through the city of Laguna Beach.
