3 Pickleball Courts To Be Added To Alta Laguna Park: City Council
The city council voted to approve the courts in an effort to accommodate the growing demand for pickleball court capacity in Laguna Beach.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The City of Laguna Beach will be getting three new pickleball courts in the future, after city councilmembers voted to convert one tennis court at Alta Laguna Park into three pickleball courts.
The decision was made at Tuesday's City Council meeting "in an effort to accommodate the growing demand for pickleball court capacity in the city," according to a city staff report.
While it was not immediately clear when the pickleball courts would be completed, city staff said the conversion will cost the city $25,000 from its general fund.
