32 Coronavirus Cases Confirmed In Laguna Beach As Of Saturday

Orange County health officials reported an additional 49 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus Sunday.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Health officials on Sunday confirmed one more case of the new coronavirus in Laguna Beach, bringing the city's official total to 32.

An additional 49 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across Orange County Saturday, bringing its total to 834. No new deaths were announced, leaving the county's total unchanged at 14.

The number of hospitalized patients increased to 137, but the number of patients in intensive care decreased to 56 Sunday from 71 the previous day, according to the Orange County Health Care Agency.

Men make up 55% of the county's cases.

As of Sunday, 9,933 people had been tested for COVID-19 in the county, with enough tests for 990 more people.

As the number of cases grow, laboratories developing coronavirus antibody tests may help end quarantine for some.

Signs and Symptoms

If you are showing symptoms, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, self-isolate within your home, and stay away from loved ones.

If you are an employer or employee at an essential location, stay home.

"You should self-isolate until you have symptom improvement, and your fever has not returned for 72-hours," OC Healthcare advises. "Self-isolation should last for at least 7 days."

If your symptoms get worse, call your doctor. If your symptoms are dire, such as pain in your chest, inability to draw breath, call 911.
