LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A woman and teen were rescued from Aliso Beach in Laguna Beach on Saturday after they were found unresponsive in the water.
Laguna Beach police officers issued a notification regarding a double-rescue happening Saturday afternoon near Aliso Creek and Pacific Coast Highway.
According to police, a 15-year-old girl and a 48-year-old woman were both found at the scene unconscious in the water.
According to CBSLA, the woman had a pulse but was unresponsive before she was airlifted, and the teenage girl was driven to a nearby hospital by an ambulance. Their conditions were not immediately known.
Witnesses described the unfolding afternoon scene as chaotic to CBSLA.
"You could see all the guards running into the ocean. There was probably like four or five lifeguards sprinting into the water," Greg Viviani told CBSLA. "They were actually carrying them, like, arms and legs... carrying them up the beach."
