• Woman, Teen Found Unresponsive In Laguna Beach Waters (patch.com) — Emergency crews in Laguna Beach responded to a chaotic scene at Aliso Beach after a 48-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl were found unconscious in the water near Aliso Creek and Pacific Coast Highway. Lifeguards rushed into the surf, pulling both victims to shore, where the woman was airlifted and the teen taken by ambulance to a hospital; their conditions remain unknown.
   

• 3 men in a Mercedes shot a scooter rider with pellet guns, Miami police say (miamiherald.com) — A 21-year-old man from Laguna Beach was arrested in Miami after police say he drove a Mercedes SUV while passengers repeatedly shot a scooter rider with pellet guns in the Brickell area. Officers reportedly found pellets throughout the vehicle, and the three occupants now face aggravated battery and "deadly missile" charges tied to several alleged drive-by pellet attacks.
