LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A new, "unconventional" golf tournament is taking shape in Orange County, after Topgolf — a chain of high-tech sports complexes — partnered with Taco Bell to create a nine-hole tournament in Laguna Beach.
Nine fans will have a chance to participate in the event, Live Mas Open, which will be hosted by comedian Kevin Hart on Nov. 2 at The Ranch in Laguna Beach, according to a news released from the Irvine-based company.
Teams will compete in the tournament, each with one fan, a celebrity, an athlete and a creator, according to the news release.
The winning team will get a trophy, purple jackets and the ability to bring back a Taco menu item for a limited time at participating locations in 2027.
"I love golf, I love Taco Bell, what could be better than bringing them together for a day of competition and fun," Hart said in the statement. "The tournament is going to be a good time – bring your swag, bring your swing, bring some personality and let's play."
