LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A very special seasonal event is coming to Laguna Beach.
The City of Laguna Beach, in partnership with CR&R Environmental Services, is hosting a family-friendly Pumpkin Smash Bash on Saturday, Oct. 17.
At the event, residents will learn how pumpkins and other organic materials can be transformed into compost instead of being sent to the landfill.
Attendees can bring their own pumpkin or use one provided at the event.
In addition, the event will feature a photo opportunity with CR&R's mini truck.
The Pumpkin Smash Bash takes place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Laguna Beach Community & Recreation Center, 30516 S. Coast Highway.
Registration for the event is required as space is limited. To register, email LagunaBeachRecycles@crrmail.com.
