Local Charity Raised $10,000 at Hailey's Holiday Bash

Hailey's Holiday Bash, held on Saturday, December 29th, was a HUGE success! It was fun, supportive, and full of great people!

Many people came out to support Hailey's House, an emerging nonprofit, at their first annual Hailey’s Holiday Bash.  The event, whose theme was Sequins and Suits, was created to raise awareness of the nonprofit and spread Hailey’s House's vision to Have Fun & Do Good Too.   Nearly 200 people in glittering and sparkling attire came out to support and donate to the worthy cause of guiding middle school girls onto the right path and equipping their parents to keep them there. Held at the Aliso Creek Inn, whose venue and staff were generously donated, attendees arrived to find themselves walking into dazzling decorations and treated to hors d’oeuvers and an array of elegant desserts. A photo booth helped set the tone with fun props from Blast Consignment for party goers to pose with and was an obvious hit as it maintained a steady line throughout the evening.

Platinum Sponsors and Event Hosts, Alternity Investment Advisors, were able to raise almost $10,000 for Hailey's House.  “It’s just what we wanted to do,” said Jeremy Blossom, partner and advisor of Alternity Investment Advisors.  “We have gotten to know Tom and Kisha Maher here in the community and we just couldn’t think of a more worthy cause to show our support to!”

World Premier of A PASSION AND DREAM IN THE MAKING

A big hit of the night was the premier of a recently made production by Change For Balance: A PASSION AND DREAM IN THE MAKING. The couple recently was awarded a media grant from Change For Balance, a philanthropic production company, that allowed them to document their endeavors in creating Hailey’s House and bringing awareness to their non-profit and its case.  Change For Balance’s mission is to provide cutting edge and top notch film work as they spotlight the good people are doing to make this world a better place to live.  “It was the perfect film to display what Hailey’s House is all about”, said Tom Maher, Co-Founder of Hailey’s House.  “After the premier there was a rush of excitement in supporting Hailey’s House.”

No doubt, this is just the beginning of Hailey’s House, and founders Tom and Kisha Maher could not be more excited to have the community of Laguna Beach to share this journey with.  “We call Hailey’s House our oak tree,” says the couple, “We believe that it is going to be here long after we are gone . . . and right now we are digging in and establishing our roots.“
