Backpack Give-A-Way In Laguna Beach

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Approximately 20 children from the Boys and Girls Club made their way to the Laguna Beach Police Department for a special field trip Friday.

Each child received a backpack filled with school supplies to kick off the school year, the Laguna Beach Police said in recent release. The Laguna Beach Police Department has partnered with the Purist Group to make this backpack event possible.

Members of the Laguna Beach Police Department waited at the police station for the kids to arrive. At the station, there were snow cones, a vehicle display, and tours of the facility.

"They are in for a real treat," the police department spokesperson said.

The backpacks were filled with crayons, pencils, notebooks, and other supplies.
