Be A Greeter Not A Bully In Laguna Beach

Laguna Beach's rich history involves the "be a greeter" mentality. Don't be a bully. Take the pledge. Get the sticker.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — What does it mean to be a greeter in Laguna Beach? The greeter principles are some of the foundations of the city.

"Don't bully people. Include them. Don't exclude," the community services department said in their most recent newsletter. "Take the Greeter Pledge to stand up against bullying."

"I pledge to follow the Greeter Principles by being friendly , welcoming , open-minded , and respectful. I will greet people with a smile. I will have the compassion not to be a bully, and the courage not to be a bystander. I will make a positive difference in my community."

After you take the Greeter Pledge, visit the Community and Susi Q Center at 380 Third Street to pick up your FREE #BeAGreeter sticker from now until August 1, 2018.
