Best Burger in Laguna Beach? Maro Wood Grill Wins It!

The poll results are in, the high-priced accountants have been paid, the paperwork has been notarized, and it can now be officially declared:

is the home of the best burger in Laguna Beach!

The Coast Highway restaurant pulled away with the title late on Friday with 52 percent of the overall tally, after being locked in a statistical dead heat with rivals for much of the day.

Maro Wood Grill also fended off , an early favorite, while brash young upstarts launched an intensive write-in campaign.

But Maro Wood Grill—and its beef-obsessed fan base—was simply too strong.

Some Maro Wood Grill lovers—what would you call them? Maro Maniacs? Maroheads?—had this to say about their burgers:
