Body Found in Laguna Beach Near Where Teen Went Missing
A body was found on the rocks near Three Arch Bay. An 18-year-old was swept off the rocks not far from there earlier this month.

A male body was found today on the rocks near Three Arch Bay beach in Laguna Beach, near where an 18-year-old swimmer was swept away by a wave earlier this month.
A resident along the beach spotted the body about 4 p.m. and called authorities, Laguna Beach police Sgt. Tim Kleiser said.
Using a jet ski, Orange County sheriff’s harbor patrol ferried it to a boat and took it back to the sheriff’s station in Dana Point, Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock said.

“It sounds like the body is in poor condition so it may take several days to confirm the identity,” Hallock said.
Authorities last week called off a widespread search for 18-year-old Anthony Parnell, who was last seen Feb. 8 in the water off Thousand Steps Beach with three friends.
