Join us as renowned author Victoria Namkung discusses her first novel, The Things We Tell Ourselves, at Environment at SOCO in Costa Mesa on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 5-7 pm. Her debut novel will focus on the damage that one generation can inflict on the next and the things we tell ourselves to justify our desires and compromises.
Before focusing on writing fiction, Namkung was a widely published fashion, celebrity, and lifestyle journalist for more than a decade. Her work can be found in the LA Times, style.com, C magazine, USA Today, InStyle, and Los Angeles Confidential among others. She currently writes essays, blogs for the Huffington Post, and serves as a cultural commentator.
