Dust Off Your Feet: Manage Your Time, Manage Your Life
Time is a resource we can never retrieve. When we lose it, it is gone forever.
Hello everyone!
Yes, I’m back. I had to take a minute. Even “we” -- leaders, trainers, coaches, whatever is your term of endearment -- need to take breaks from time-to-time to get back to center. Communication is important to me. Writing is important to me. YOU are important to me. For just a moment, I allowed myself to lose time and focus of what I love the most. I love to write, encourage, exhort.
To that end, I have chosen the topic of my talk today—‘Dust off Your Feet: Manage Your Time, Manage Your Life!’

Sometimes we get sucked into participating in activities that drain lots of time, money, and emotional energy. Everything we do everyday takes lots of time, money, and emotional energy, but you need to be getting some ROI! For you non-business people, that means Return On Investment. So—our activities might be worthwhile, but worthwhile to whom?
Time is a resource we can never retrieve. When we lose it, it is gone forever. Learn how to redeem your time by doing only those activities that give you a great ROI. Spending our time is like having a relationship, and we all know that relationships are about reciprocity. So if you are not getting a great return on your friendships, volunteer, or work activities, you need to stop and evaluate where those are truly taking you! Is it a place you choose not to reside? Notice I did not mention family. Unfortunately, those relationships are not always optional -- stay focused, people!

Try with all your power and might to make your life stress and drama free! I am realistic, and I know that is not always possible, but try not to be a platinum contributor to your own life’s drama. Make your challenges good challenges. Remember, some pain is necessary for gain. What I mean is, try to channel your energies into meeting goals, solving problems, and being a better you. Let go of the rest. Let go of unnecessary drama that takes you to places of unhappiness and frustration. That’s what I did, and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I wish you and your team “A Polite Situation.”
