Earth Day at Ocean Institute Offers Eco-Friendly Crafts, Marine Activities and Recycling
Earth Day activities at the Ocean Institute on April 21 will involve kids and adults. Free admission is offered that day for any who volunteer for beach and harbor clean-up.

The Ocean Institute is one of the best places to celebrate Earth Day on Sunday, April 21. Each year the Ocean Institute’s involvement helps spread the word about the environment and the importance of protecting our surroundings, including the ocean.
This year, Ocean Institute participants will:
- Create fun, eco-friendly crafts.
- Explore marine wildlife and hands-on activities.
- Experience a preview of The Little Mermaid Jr. by La Paz Intermediate Drama of Mission Viejo.
- Be able to recycle old batteries, clothing and athletic shoes at a drop off at the Ocean Institute.
Free admission for the day to the Ocean Institute is offered to those who volunteer for beach or harbor clean-up.

Regular admission price is $6.50 for adults (13 years-plus) and $4.50 for children (3 to 12 years old). Members and children under 2 are free.
The Ocean Institute and many other organizations celebrate Earth Day on Sunday since the official Earth Days falls on Monday, April 22.
