LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The 133 into Laguna Beach is reopened as of 2 p.m. according to the City of Laguna Beach. All power lines have been safely dealt with and drivers can now travel safely down Laguna Canyon Road, both directions.

The road was shut down on Thursday, with what began as a 7:30 a.m. traffic collision where a white sedan ran into a power pole.

"Emergency vehicles responded to the single vehicle vs. power pole accident this morning," Laguna Beach Police Department public information officer Sgt. Tim Kleiser said. "The driver was not injured, however power lines were downed."
The Laguna Beach Police Department closed the 133—Laguna Canyon Road—both directions, between Canyon Acres and El Toro Road.

"We are allowing residents and employees who live or work in canyon area through," Kleiser said.
As of 9 a.m. workers estimated the power line repair would take two to four hours for fix.
"They've been working almost three and a half hours now," Kleiser said. "The repair teams are on scene, but as of 12:30 p.m. there is no word as to when the road into Laguna Beach will reopen.

A collision on Laguna Canyon Road into Laguna Beach involving a wood power pole has created a road closure due to downed power lines.
Inbound Laguna Canyon Road and El Toro Road are closed to through traffic. Outbound Laguna Canyon Road at Canyon Acres is also closed as of 9 a.m.
The repairs will take an estimated two to four hours, according to officials. This story will be updated as more information is released.

An early morning accident on Laguna Canyon Road has downed power lines in the area.
The accident, reported by the City of Laguna Beach, occurred when a vehicle slammed into a power pole, downing wires on the 2600 block of Laguna Canyon Road, between Big Ben Trail and Laguna Ridge Trail.
There is no word as of yet regarding power outages in the area or if there were injuries involved or road closures.
