The story follows a group of young artists and friends struggling to survive, create, and love in the shadow of poverty, addiction, and the AIDS crisis. Laguna Playhouse’s production honors the beloved classic while experiencing the story through the lens of a filmmaker, with live onstage filming projected in real time-capturing the raw emotion, intimacy, and urgency of a community determined to live fully.
